ISO 6690:2007 is the current standard to ensure that all components of the milking machine are working efficiently. Farm Assurance Schemes generally require regular static testing to show compliance with the standard. United Milking Services offers milking machine testing to ISO 6690: 2007 and also dynamic testing, which is useful to identify issues with the parlour and machine during milking.
We can also provide a full Milking Performance Analysis (MPA). This includes dry and wet (dynamic) testing followed by a very comprehensive written report of the findings, to give your parlour a fundamental shake down of routine, cluster support, liner choice, vacuum performance, wash performance, milking settings, how to speed up milking, better udder health, and overall how to reduce SCC and or mastitis. This process is an extremely robust approach prior to any changes that you are contemplating in your parlour as we can provide the science behind what’s going on in your milking process.
